Philadelphia Union Foundation partners to build playground in Chester

By Philadelphia Union Foundation

The Philadelphia Union Foundation, MLS W.O.R.K.S., Chester Upland School District, and Chester City United will join forces with KaBOOM! to bring a new playground to Chester. The project, which will be completed in one day, will take place on July 24 as a buildup to the 2012 MLS All-Star Game at PPL Park on Wednesday night, July 25.

The playground build is a part of the Philadelphia Union Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote youth health and recreation in the Chester community and to provide children with safe places to play. MLS has engaged in similar projects in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Houston, and Carson, CA.

The Philadelphia Union Foundation is proud to partner with KaBOOM!, a non-profit organization that hopes to put a playground within walking distance of every child in America. For more information on KaBOOM!, please visit http://kaboom.org/about_kaboom.
