Last night's Home Opener will go down as one of the greatest games in Philadelphia Union history. It had everything: years of anticipation unleashed by 34,870 fans in attendance, the first goal in club history, the first hat trick, and oh yeah, the team's first ever win. It certainly didn't hurt that the three points were earned against Eastern Conference rival D.C. United after a go-ahead free kick goal by Sebastien Le Toux in the 80th minute. The match couldn't have been scripted any better, and it's one Union fans will never forget.
Take a look at some of the better photos from the evening - they don't quite do the atmosphere justice, but they capture a few of the most memorable moments and give you an idea of the electricity in the building.
