Union Partner with Anheuser-Busch
Philadelphia Union has added brewing giant Anheuser-Busch to its list of Founding Corporate Partners, the club announced today. The integrated partnership provides Anheuser-Busch various marketing elements at the new PPL Park and in-market promotional rights.
“Anheuser-Busch has been a great sponsor of our League and our sport and we’re thrilled to now have them as a partner of Philadelphia Union,” said Philadelphia Union President Tom Veit.
In addition to securing branding rights at PPL Park and in-market promotional rights, Anheuser-Busch will also team up with the Union and Gretz Beer Company to implement the Good Sport Program, which promotes a positive atmosphere at the stadium by encouraging adult fans to drink responsibly and use a designated driver. Anheuser-Busch will promote the Good Sport program through the use of stadium signage, PSAs and an in-stadium designated driver sign-up booth.
“We are proud to be partners with Philadelphia Union and are excited to team with them and our local wholesaler, Gretz Beer Company, in implementing the Good Sport program at PPL Park this year,” said Brad Brown, senior director, sports marketing, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. “It’s all about having fun watching a great soccer match and we think the Good Sport program will enhance the experience for all of the Union fans.”
PPL Park is scheduled to open on June 27th, when the Union host the Seattle Sounders at 5:00 p.m.
