Mwanga a RotY Finalist; No MVP for Le Toux

Mwanga up for top rookie, Le Toux for Fair Play award

Major League Soccer released the annual end-of-season awards finalists, and Union fans are sure to be partly disappointed. It appears as though Philadelphia's inability to reach the MLS Cup Playoffs was Sebastien Le Toux's undoing, as the combined leader in goals/assists isn't included amongst the final three. He is, however, up for the league's Fair Play award.

Forward Danny Mwanga is unsurprisingly among the three finalists for the Rookie of the Year award, along with New York's Tim Ream and DC United's Andy Najar. Both the Rookie of the Year and Fair Play awards will be announced on November 3.

The season’s most outstanding individual plays will be honored on Wednesday, Nov. 17 when the AT&T Goal of the Year and the NAPA Auto Parts Save of the Year are announced. Voting for the Goal and Save of the Year is conducted on the League’s official web site MLSsoccer.com.
