Fans Invited to Festivities Leading Up to Home Opener
As the 2011 MLS season approaches, Philadelphia Union fans have begun to gear up for what hopes to be a
successful campaign. The offseason has brought new faces, both on and off the pitch. Preseason is winding to a close and First
Kick is right around the corner.
Union fans are invited to participate in a week of festivities (all free of charge) leading up the club's Home Opener, the first at PPL Park.
The week will kick off with seven viewing parties on Saturday, March 19, 7:30 p.m. when the Union open their season in Houston against the Dynamo. Viewing parties will include chances to participate in contests and free giveaways. Join us from 7:30 – 11:00 p.m. at the
following Pub Partner locations:
S. 2nd St.
W. Lincoln Hwy
East Eagle Rd.
will be a Molly Open Call conducted during the viewing
party at The Oakmont National Pub in Havertown.
Only applicants who pre-register will be accepted for the Open Call. CLICK HERE to pre-register online.
All fans in attendance can
cast a vote for their favorite Molly candidate. The Molly candidate with
the most votes will automatically earn a spot in Major Molly's Army for the
2011 season. Current Mollies will also be participating in the event and will
be sure to catch all the action on the Molly Cam!

Following First Kick, the build up to the Home Opener continues on Tuesday, March 22, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m with a rescheduled Meet
the Players event at PPL Park, the first chance to meet your 2011 Union. The event will be held in the Stadium Club and space is limited, so be sure to come early. Entry
will not be permitted once the stadium club reaches capacity.
Next up will be our first-ever Virtual Scavenger Hunt, which will take place Thursday, March 24, 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Test your Philadelphia Union knowledge while following a trail of clues distributed from our Twitter account, all leading to one final location. The first fan to guess each new location will win a prize, with each prize increasingly more exciting than the last. The final clue will lead fans to an actual location, and the first 100 fans to show up will receive a prize. All fans in attendance at the final location will also be entered into a drawing for a grand prize!
These events all lead up to the weekend’s
main event: Philadelphia Union’s Home Opener against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, March 26th at 4:00
p.m. While single game tickets are sold out, a limited number of seats are still available through full and partial season ticket plans.
