Union pass with 12th pick in Re-Entry Stage 2

Miglioranzi, Harrison no longer on Philadelphia's roster, free to negotiate with any club

The Union passed with the 12th overall selection in Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Process on Monday. 14 of 19 teams passed with their initial selection, while the LA Galaxy were easily the most active team, scooping up four new players and opting to re-negotiate with two of their own.

Midfielder Stefani Miglioranzi and goalkeeper Chase Harrison were available in the Re-Entry Process after their options were declined by Philadelphia. The Union had until December 2 at 5:00 p.m. EST to sign either player, but neither came to an agreement with the club. Thus, both players are no longer listed on Philadelphia's roster and are free to negotiate with any of league’s 19 clubs.

A Union original, Miglioranzi was selected in the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft from the LA Galaxy as one of the first 11 players signed in Union history. The 34-year-old defensive midfielder played a total of 43 games with Philadelphia, starting 36. In 2011, Miglioranzi played 980 minutes in 17 appearances, including 11 starts.

Harrison signed with the Union on September 23, 2011 from the club's USL-Pro affiliate, the Harrisburg City Islanders. The goalkeeper never saw action with Philadelphia's first team.
