Career Summary

The Union acquired Jamaican international Brian Brown on July 11, 2014 and is on loan from Harbour View FC for the remainder of the 2014 Major League Soccer season.

2014: Appeared in eight matches while starting one game for a total of 230 minutes. He scored two goals and had one assist. Brown made his Philadelphia debut on July 19 at Chicago as a sub in the 81st minute. He then scored his first MLS goal in just his second career game at Sporting Kansas City on Aug. 1, tying the game in the 71st minute after subbing on two minutes prior. He notched his first career assist in a 1-1 draw versus Chicago on Oct. 2. Brown got his final first – his first start – against Sporting Kansas City on Oct. 18, scoring a goal in the 2-1 victory.

2013: In his native Jamaica, Brown netted 20 goals in 32 appearances in during the 2013-14 season for Harbour View, also known as the “Stars of the East.” Prior to joining Harbour View, Brown played for Montego Bay United, scoring three goals in 17 appearances during the 2012-13 season.

INTERNATIONAL: Brown has also suited up alongside Union rookie goalkeeper Andre Blake. Brown played 19 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Trinidad & Tobago on Nov. 15, 2013.
