PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2018 (Philadelphia/Bethlehem): Marquez did not appear for Philadelphia in 2018. For Bethlehem Steel FC, he made four appearances (four starts) at centerback, making his season debut for the team with a start vs. Charlotte (June 30).

2017 (Philadelphia/Bethlehem): Marquez made 15 appearances (13 starts) at centerback in 2017, scoring one goal. During a start vs. Portland (April 8), he scored his first goal of the season via a header following a corner kick from Haris Medunjanin. For Bethlehem Steel FC, Marquez made four regular-season appearances (four starts) at centerback.

2016 (Philadelphia): Starting 33 of the Union’s 34 regular-season contests, Marquez cemented himself as a first-choice centerback for the club. He scored his first-ever MLS goal, the game-winner, on May 21, 2016 vs. D.C. United. He added a second tally on August 14, 2016 at New England. He also started all three of the Union’s 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup contests and the postseason match at Toronto FC.

2015 (Philadelphia/Harrisburg): Marquez broke into MLS by playing 21 matches for Philadelphia in 2015, starting 20 of the final 24 league matches. He also made four appearances in the 2015 U.S. Open Cup as the Union made a run to the final, a match that Marquez started and played all 120 minutes. He also made one additional on-loan appearance with Harrisburg.

2014 (Philadelphia/Harrisburg): Marquez came to MLS as the 44^th overall pick by the Union in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. He was loaned to Harrisburg for the duration of the season, where he helped lead the club to the USL PRO championship game.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Marquez played four years at Division III University of Redlands (CA). In 2013, he was named SCIAC Player of the Year, and in 2012 and 2011 he was named first team all-SCIAC.
