CHESTER, PA (June 7, 2010) - Just five hours after single game tickets went on sale for home games at PPL Park, Philadelphia Union’s first match in their new stadium is sold out aside from a limited number of premium Field Level seats. The Union will open PPL Park against Seattle Sounders FC on June 27 at 5:00pm. Individual and group (15 or more) tickets for all other matches at PPL Park are still available.
“The incredible reaction we just saw to the first match at PPL Park reaffirms once again the excitement and passion that we witnessed from Union fans during our first two home games,” said Union CEO & Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz. “The intimacy of PPL Park will create the type of intense in-stadium atmosphere that soccer is known for worldwide. We can’t wait to welcome our supporters into their new home on June 27th.”
For individual tickets, please call ComcastTix at 1-800-298-4200 or CLICK HERE. For groups of 15 or more, please call 877-21-UNION (877-218-6466).
Individual tickets range from $25 for Corner seats through $150 for Field Level seats, while group tickets range from $20 for Corner seats through $35 for Sideline seats.
“Once again the residents of the Greater Philadelphia Region have shown a great response to the Union and that games at PPL Park will be in high demand,” said Union President Tom Veit. “We’re extremely appreciative of the support our fans have shown and we couldn’t be more excited to see them pack the house against Seattle in just 20 days. I encourage all Union fans who didn’t get a chance to purchase a ticket to the PPL Park opener to secure their tickets for July 10th against San Jose, July 17th against Toronto, and to other future matches before they’re sold out as well.”
Philadelphia Union are also accepting $50 deposits to join the season ticket waiting list for the 2011 season. These deposits can later be applied to tickets when and if they become available. Those on the waiting list will have the opportunity to select their seats in the order in which they made their payment. Once on the season ticket waiting list, prospective season ticket holders will be eligible for select offers from the team. There is a limit of six season tickets per account.
