Chester, Pa. (April 18, 2012) – Philadelphia Union announced today that the club's May 13 match at PPL Park vs. the New York Red Bulls has been changed to 12:30 p.m. EST, an hour earlier than the previous start time of 1:30 p.m. The match, which will be broadcast on ESPN2, falls on Mother’s Day and will offer several opportunities for fans to honor their mothers.
Season ticket holders can submit pictures of themselves with their mothers for a chance to be displayed at halftime of the game on PPL Park’s video board. All photos must be submitted to FanServices@philadelphiaunion.com no later than May 9.
All groups (15 or more individuals) attending the game will be entered into a raffle, with the mothers of the winning group selected to either watch pre-game warm-ups from the Union bench, receive on-field recognition before the match or during halftime, or receive a private post-game autograph session for their entire group.
Additionally, the Union will host a special Mother’s Day Brunch in the Stadium Club at PPL Park prior to the match on May 13. Open to general public attending the match, first seating will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with a second seating for season ticket holders starting at 11:30 a.m. The brunch package is $29.50 for adults and $14 for children. The Union travel to California to take on Chivas USA this Saturday at 10:30 EST before returning home to PPL Park to face the San Jose Earthquakes on April 28th at 7 p.m.
