Thursday, Jan. 16
8:00-11:00 a.m. Philadelphia Union and its supporters group, Sons of Ben, will help kick off MLS SuperDraft day in Philadelphia with a pre-draft event at Field House Sports & Beer Hall (1150 Filbert St, Philadelphia, PA 19107), located in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
9:30 a.m. "Building for the Future" -- Investing in the American Player: An in-depth look at Philadelphia Union/YSC's innovative Youth Development Model. The event, presented by the Philadelphia Union, will feature Dr. Nooha Ahmed-Lee, the Head of School at YSC Academy, Finn Gunderson, YSC's Director of Sport Education, Dr. Cristina Fink, YSC's Director of Sport Psychology and Bill Knowles, Director of Athlete Development.

9:30 a.m: “Brain Centered Training in Football:" featuring Joe Rigs, Director of Football Developmen at ASPIRE Academy of Sports Excellence. The course will feature on-field demonstration featuring under-14 members of the Philadelphia Union's youth academy.

12:00 p.m. The 2014 MLS SuperDraft begins at noon in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where the first two rounds will take place. Rounds 3-4 will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Sons of Ben will march to the draft following the pre-draft event at Field House Sports & Beer Hall. Philadelphia Union currently has eight selections in the draft, including the No. 2 overall pick in addition to Nos. 6, 25, 27, 44, 46, 52, 63.
4:00-6:00 p.m. Following the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, the Union will host a post-draft party at Brü Craft & Works (1316 Chestnut Street), where fans are invited to come and enjoy food and beverage with the newest draftees of the Philadelphia Union.

Friday, Jan. 17
9:00 a.m. “MLS Youth Development:" A course pertaining to training America's soccer talent to stay talented...and help grow the sport in America. A seminar featuring Union Academy director Tommy Wilson along with MLS academy directors Mike Smith from the Portland Timbers and the Chicago Fire's Larry Sunderland.

4:00 p.m. "Creating a Culture Through Training Methodology," a session presented by the Philadelphia Union featuring youth academy director Tommy Wilson, U14 head coach Chris Brewer and Bill Knowles Director of Athlete Development, YSC /Philadelphia Union.

4:00 p.m. Union U16 head coach Jeff Cook will speak in a session called "Better Player Development Option: High School or Development Academy/Elite Clubs National League." The event featured Kevin Sims, Moderator, NSCAA BOD, HS Girls Rep as moderator with presentations from Kevin Denson, NSCAA BOD, Youth Boys Rep., First Colonial HS, Theresa Echtermeyer, DOC Highlands Ranch Soccer Assoc., Mountain Vista HS, Alecko Eskandarian, NY Cosmos Assist Coach and Stephen Nichols, McDonogh HS, Baltimore Celtic SC Founder and Director.

Saturday, Jan. 18
4:00 p.m. Philadelphia Union have partnered with the The Walt Chyzowych Memorial Fund to sponsor the Walt Chyzowych Lifetime Achievement Award in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention in Philadelphia. The award, held at Field House Sports & Beer Hall, was founded after the 1994 passing of Walt Chyzowych to honor his memory and promulgate his legacy as U.S. Soccer’s National Team Coach and Director of Coaching. The award will be presented to Gene Chyzowych, who has exemplified Walt’s spirit for the game of soccer.
7:00 p.m. Philadelphia Union’s loyal supporters group Sons of Ben will host Help Kick Hunger, their annual food and fundraiser, at Field House Sports & Beer Hall. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bernadine Center, which supports low-income Chester area residents by distributing emergency and supplemental food and supplies. Philadelphia Union players and coaches are scheduled to attend.
The Union also announced this week that the club will host a broadcast talent personality contest, allowing the winner to be part of a Union home broadcast, co-host part of the Union’s weekly radio show, The 90th Minute presented by Farmers Insurance, and/or appear in philadelphiaunion.com webisodes. Fans are encouraged to send in video tapes of them giving a play call, interview or description of what makes them a unique on-air personality. Fan voting will determine the final three contestants, and the winner will be selected by a celebrity panel at the Meet the Team event, with details announced at a later date.
