(February 22, 2012) &ndash; Philadelphia Union have waived midfielder Nizar Khalfan, the club announced today. The Union claimed Khalfan in the MLS Waiver Draft on November 23, 2011 after Vancouver Whitecaps FC released him earlier in the day. The move frees up one international spot on the club&rsquo;s roster, leaving Philadelphia with seven international players and nine spots.<br />
