Philadelphia Union Academy duo Dante Huckaby and Jack McGlynn are returning to the city of Brotherly Love as champions after helping lead the United States U-16 squad to the 2019 Nike International Friendlies championship.
Huckaby started in both matches for the young Stars and Stripes, that battled back against the Netherlands for a 3-3 draw and clinched the championship with a 3-2 victory over Turkey.
McGlynn came into the US's thriller against the Dutch in the second half and played a key role in the stoppage time thriller. Collecting a ball in the midfield, McGlynn riffled a through ball that rang off the post but fell to a teammate to make it 3-2. On the final kick of the match, the United States equalized for a crucial draw that netted the title.
