Career Summary

Yann Ekra was signed by Philadelphia Union on September 13, 2013. Ekra is an Ivorian striker who has spent two seasons with Philadelphia Union’s affiliate, the Harrisburg City Islanders before joining the Union first team. Prior to his stint in Harrisburg, Ekra spent the beginning of his career in Europe, putting in time with both Hull City A.F.C. and in Greece with Panionios F.C.

2013: Appeared in 22 matched for the Harrisburg City Islanders, totaling four goals and three assists for the club, while also notching a career high 1,634 minutes on the pitch.

2012: Made debut for the Harrisburg City Islanders on May 4 against the Charlotte Eagles… appeared in 21 total matches for Harrisburg, notching six goals and one assist in the campaign… played 1,231 minutes for his squad.

2009-10: Returned to East Yorkshire and earned a spot in Hull City’s initial first team squad for the Carling Cup match with Southend.

2007-2009: Appeared in two games for Olympique Lyonnais’ reserve team, before he was signed by Hull City at the start of the 2008-09 campaign… joined Greece’s Panionios F.C. on loan in January ’09.
