The Philadelphia Union Fan Council is a group made up of Union fans from all segments of the Philadelphia Union fan base. The objective of the group is to provide fan feedback and input to the club on a variety of topics to help create the best possible fan experience in 2016 and beyond.
The Fan Council met for the first time in 2017 on February 7, where the focus of the meeting was branding opportunities for the Union and the season ticket members’ rewards program. Fan Council members voiced their ideas, comments, support and concern for ideas the Union presented to them. The Union also listened to ideas the Fan Council members had regarding future fan experiences.
“I’ve seen some of the decisions that we’ve discussed here actually come to fruition, and that’s neat to see,” said Staci Klemmer, a Fan Council member. “I feel like I have some input into the organization and that’s an awesome thing.”
The Union have always had a “We are One” mentality, and want to further extend that to the great supporters of this club through this group. The group selected acts as a voice and communication method for the rest of the Union supporters throughout the world.
“The Fan Council is what makes the Union special,” said BJ Nolek, a Fan Council member. “We can meet one-on-one, we can talk about things, and the front office actually listens.”
Discussion topics include items such as Ticket Programs, In-Stadium Experience, Gamedays, Community Initiatives, Concessions, Merchandising and much more.
