Philadelphia rallies behind 2026 World Cup host city

Following Philadelphia's success in hosting large sporting events such as the Army-Navy Game, NFL Draft and CONCACAF Gold Cup, Philadelphia has been selected as one of the 23 prospective host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup - a list which will be narrowed down to the final 16 host cities in the next few years. In an effort to engage the local and national communities around the bid to secure the event, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau has unveiled Philadelphia2026.com

The website will encourage soccer fans in Philadelphia and elsewhere to show their support for bringing 2026 FIFA World Cup matches to Philadelphia, while also serving as an information hub for soccer-related news and events in the region. The website also shares insights into Philadelphia's sporting strengths and key assets including top-notch venues, a passionate soccer fan base, the overall experience of Philadelphia and more.
