Philadelphia Union are pleased to announce that the hometown hero for Saturday night's match against FC Dallas is Petty Officer Jack Hale.
Ten years ago, Hale joined the Navy while just a senior in high school. Throughout his time serving his country, he was stationed on a Naval Air Station in Washington and Virginia as well as serving time upon a submarine. Currently, Petty Officer Hale is stationed in Philadelphia. Although he is local now, Petty Officer Hale has been deployed all over the world and therefore has been to over 20 countries.
In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching sports as well as volunteering in the Philadelphia community.
Petty Officer Hale plans on serving at least 20 years before retiring from the armed forces.
