When the Union knocked out New England Saturday night by a 6-1 scoreline, one must have imagined there were some records broken. Some is an understatement as the Eastern Conference leaders made sure to leave their mark not only on the league but the record books.

Let's take a look at the newest entries to the Union's all-time record book:

  • The Union's win was the first time in club history that the team has won five consecutive games at home over the course of a single season … previously, the team had won five straight at home at the end of the 2015 season, overlapping into the start of 2016.
  • Six goals ties the all-time team record for most goals in a single game. You might record the other two instances (5/28/11 at TOR, 10/22/17 vs. ORL)
  • The Union’s five goals in the second half were a new team record for most tallies in a single half, surpassing the club’s four goals scored on two occasions (10/22/17 vs. ORL; 1st half, 10/6/18 vs. MIN; 1st half).
  • The club's six goals came from five different players (Jack Elliott, Ilsinho, Sergio Santos, Kacper Przybylko, David Accam) which set an all-time club record for most individual goal-scorers in a single game, surpassing the record of four, last done on 10/6/18 vs. Minnesota (Cory Burke, Alejandro Bedoya, Fafa Picault, Ilsinho).
  • The Union’s 15 shots on target Saturday night were also a new club record, breaking the previous mark of 13 from the club’s inaugural season, set on June 27, 2010 vs. Seattle.
  • They also notched 13 shots on goal in the second half alone, again breaking a previous record of nine, set in that same match vs. Seattle in the second half.
  • This season's start matches the 2011 version of the club for the best start in team history … both were 6-3-2 after 11 matches and in first place.
  • By scoring his third goal in his third consecutive match, Kacper Przybylko became the second Union player of all time to score three goals in his first three MLS starts … he joins Cory Burke, who scored in his first four career starts in 2018.

The Union next play on the road at BMO Field on Saturday, May 11 in a regular-season match against Toronto FC (3:00 p.m. ET/PHL17)
