SAINT PAUL, Mn. (June 2, 2019) – Philadelphia Union regained first place in the Eastern Conference after defeating Minnesota United FC 3-2 on the road Sunday afternoon. The Union picked up their third road win and eighth overall win of the season to continue their best start in franchise history through 16 games (8-4-4; 28 points). The win also dealt Minnesota their first loss at home this season. Auston Trusty netted the game-winning goal, his first of the season (second career). Haris Medunjanin also scored his first goal of the season (fifth career). Jamiro Monteiro notched his third goal for the club, and now has three goals and three assists in 10 games.
