In conjunction with the United Soccer League and the Tampa Bay Rowdies over the forecast of Hurricane Irma, Bethlehem Steel FC’s match against the Rowdies scheduled for Saturday, September 9, has been rescheduled.
Steel FC will now host USL-newcomer on Wednesday, September 27th, at Goodman Stadium on the campus of Lehigh University at 3 p.m.
The club has also announced that the club will play its Gold Match benefitting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley will now take place on Sunday, September 24th, against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Steel FC will wear special gold warmups prior to kickoff and gold armbands for the entirety of the match. During the match, fans will be able to bid on the warmups and armbands through a silent auction held on the concourse. All auctioned items will be signed by the players following the match. The auction will begin when the gates open at 2 p.m. and run until the 70th minute of play. All payments must take place at the match with fans able to pay with cash or credit cards.
For the match against the Riverhounds, Steel FC will continue to offer its current ticket promotion to aid PCFLV with even more donations. Steel FC will be selling special general admission tickets for $15, with every ticket automatically donating $8 to PCFLV. Tickets for Saturday’s match will be honored for the remainder of this season and can be exchanged at the Steel FC box office on any gameday. Steel FC will honor its donation to PCFLV for all tickets already sold through the ticket promotion.
