2017 Record: 12-8-11, 3-7-6 on the road, 4th in Western Conference
All-time Record vs. Seattle Sounders FC: 3-4-2

Projected Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Stefan Frei - Nouhou Tolo, Gustav Svensson, Roman Torres, Kelvin Leerdam - Cristian Roldan, Osvaldo Alonso - Victor Rodriguez, Clint Dempsey, Nicolas Lodeiro - Will Bruin
Player to Watch: Nicolas Lodeiro

Everyone knows how good Clint Dempsey is because of his time with the US Men's National Team, but one player the Union will have to key in on will be Nicolas Lodeiro for Seattle. Lodeiro is seeing a breakout season in MLS, where he is tied for the lead in assists for Seattle with 11, while also finding the back of the net five times this season. Lodeiro plays wide and has a great rapport with Dempsey, making the two a dangerous attack for Seattle. In his last seven games, Lodeiro has two goals and three assists, including a goal and two assists in Sounders' last match. For the Union to limit Seattle's scoring chances, the team will have to shut down Lodeiro and his dangerous passing abilities.
