For the last time this season, an Andre Blake save was named the Allstate Defensive Play of the Game.
In the 80th minute, with the Union leading 6-1, Orlando City SC sent a pass into the middle of the pitch for one of their few scoring chances in the match. The Lions' Giles Barnes received the pass, worked his way into the box, trying to draw Blake off his line before sending a pass to Dom Dwyer. Not fooled, Blake ran to his left, and as Dwyer let loose his shot, Blake made a kick save and sent the ball out of bounds.
Blake's save was just one of his four saves in the match, but it was arguably his best. He managed to keep the Lions off the scoresheet again, and it also managed to be his final save of the season. Blake finished the season with the lowest goals against average of his career, mostly because of saves just like the one against Orlando.
