One of the best goals of the 2017 season is up for the Union's Moment of the Year.
With the score tied at 1 with just 15 minutes remaining in the Union's match against Colorado Rapids, Alejandro Bedoya was taken down just outside the box, leading to a yellow card to Colorado's Joshua Gatt. The Union had a very dangerous free kick about 25 yards outside of the box.
Haris Medunjanin, the Union's free-kick specialist, stepped up to the free kick and launched a curling shot. The ball went over the wall and froze US Men's National Team goalkeeper Tim Howard to give the Union the 2-1 lead.
The Union held on and won 2-1, which extended the Union's win streak to four games and the team's unbeaten streak to six games. Medunjanin's goal was his second of the season and his sixth point of the season.
