Double Game Week
The Union have their last double game week of the season, and it starts off with a mid-week match against Atlanta United FC. The two teams previously met for the first time in club history in August, when they played to a 2-2 draw. Now, the Union will have to travel down to Atlanta for their first trip to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. To learn more about the U's mid-week opponent, click here.
Strength in Union
Saturday's match presented another opportunity for fans to enter the team's Re-DOOP temporary tattoo contest. Fans who attended the match received a second Strength in Union tattoo, and fans posted them wearing the tattoo to social media. One lucky fan who posts a photo of them wearing their temporary tattoo, along with tagging the Union and using #Re-DOOP, will win season tickets for the 2018 season. Saturday's match was also the Union's Pediatric Cancer Awareness Night, where both the Union and Chicago Fire brought awareness to fighting the disease. From gold nets and gold corner flags, to initials of pediatric cancer patients on the Kick Childhood Cancer shirts, the Union dedicated the night to those who were fighting the disease. And it all was topped off through the incredible partnership between the Union and Kickasso, where they brought cleats to life designed by children affected by pediatric cancer.
