Union fall to Chicago
The Union played their final road game of the season Sunday, when the team took on Chicago Fire and ultimately fell to the Eastern Conference team 3-2. The Union held the lead for a major part of the game, thanks to an own goal and a quality chip from Alejandro Bedoya. Steel FC draws STLFC ahead of playoff match
Bethlehem Steel FC secured its first ever playoff appearance Thursday evening, and close out the season with a 1-1 draw against St. Louis FC at Goodman Stadium. In the match, Matt Real scored his first ever goal for Steel FC, scoring just one minute after STLFC took the lead. Despite outshooting STLFC 20-6, the teams walked away with one point, but it was a good primer before BSFC faces off against Louisville City FC in the first round of the playoffs. Elliott nominated for Rookie of the Year
It's finally official, as Friday Jack Elliott was one of 17 nominees for Rookie of the Year, marking the second time in two seasons a Union player has been up for ROY. Elliott has been a constant solid presence on the Union backline for the majority of the season, and is a leading candidate for the award.
