Is there a better team left in the College Cup tournament than Indiana? The Hoosiers have yet to lose a match in 2017, going 17-0-6 during this season. Much of that is due to the defensive prowess of the Hoosiers, who have only allowed six goals all season. The team's paltry 0.24 goals-against average and .904 save percentage lead the nation, while the offense also is one of the best in the nation, ranking 12th. Searching for the school's ninth championship, this Indiana team is one of the favorites to lift the trophy.
The Philadelphia Union Academy U17 squad traveled down to Florida to compete in the Development Academy Winter Showcase, and the team walked away being one of the best teams in the tournament. The team went 2-0-1 in the tournament, one of those wins being the best game of the tournament for the age group. With the game streamed online, the U17s went down to Seattle Sounders FC 0-2 within the first 15 minutes, then stormed back to a 4-2 victory against one of the best teams in the West. Only a draw against Sockers FC kept the team from earning the whole nine points.
