If you could get a tattoo of your favorite team and get a discount on season tickets in the process, would you do it?
Fans of the Union did Saturday at Bonedaddys Tattoo in Aston, PA.
Union fans came to the shop to get Union flash tattoos, and whatever the price of the tattoo was got knocked off new season tickets. It’s the first tattoo event of its kind.
The event was another instance between the Union and its Chief Tattoo Officers. After having players and returning season ticket members get tattooed, new season ticket member were next in line.
Two of the fans to get tattoos at the event were Rob Smith and Chris Goldberg. Smith got a Ben Franklin skull tattooed on his calf, while Goldberg got the Union badge inked on his forearm.
“It seemed pretty cool, kind of a traditional tattoo with the skull,” Smith said. “It feels great, I can’t wait until next season, when it warms up and I can show it off. The CTO is a really cool idea, and it’s a cool way to show some support.”
“I love tattoos and I love the Union, so I thought it’d be a good choice,” Goldberg added. “I’m a Philly sports guy, and I want to have a Philly sports sleeve, so I figure the badge would be the way to go.”
Fans can still sign up to get a Union tattoo and receive a discount on season tickets. A future date to receive tattoos once a registration goal has been reached.
