Gary Lewis recaps the U-17 squad's Winter Showcase performance

The Union U-17 squad recently wrapped up their 2017 calendar year by going unbeaten in three games at the US Soccer Development Academy winter Showcase in Tampa, Fla.

In between a 0-0 draw with Shockers FC from Chicago, Ill., and a 4-1 win over Sporting KC's Academy, the U-17 team pulled off a big comeback win against Seattle Sounders Academy in a Showcase Match broadcast live on Facebook and Youtube. Down 2-0 early in the match, the Union scored four unanswered goals to top the Sounders 4-2.

"The boys shows a great deal of maturity in that game. They didn't panic, and because we've got such a defined style of play we just stuck to the plan. Along 30 minutes we were 2-2. Within the first minute of the second half, Aboubacar Camara scored his second goal to put us 3-2 up and then we just took over the game," U-17 Head Coach Gary Lewis said.
