Why Utrain?
Utrain provides a fun, competitive learning environment for players of all levels and experiences, with the goal to enhance their soccer ability through practices and game like situations.
What to expect?
Fun but challenging exercises to enhance players development in the key areas of the game (passing, dribbling, control, shooting) focusing on the technical ability of the player whilst being in a creative environment.
Who are the coaches?
All Philadelphia Union Youth coaches are professional coaches with a wide variety of experiences and qualifications. We make sure we have the right coaches, personalities, and staff for the correct age group to ensure the best learning experience for our players.
Is there a set Curriculum?
As the modern game teaching methods moves away from traditional “drills” we place players in creative situations where they must problem solve, think for themselves, and use of guided questions to players vs command style.
We let them play and learn through games and set scenarios whilst balancing technical repetition against pressure and individual ball work. We find this method of scenarios and games enhances a players technical, tactical, social and game understanding much quicker than the old method of single repetition "Drill" ball work.
Week 1: Driving forward / 1v1s
Week 2: Passing and Moving
Week 3: Creating 2v1’s in attack
Week 4: Shooting, scoring goals!
