A brace from Christian Pulisic led the United States to the Concacaf Gold Cup finals, defeating Jamaica by a 3-1 margin in Nissan Stadium.
Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake was tested early to keep the Reggae Boyz in the contest, stopping Paul Arriola in the fourth minute. The USMNT found the breakthrough however in the ninth minute as Weston McKennie beat Blake to put the U.S. ahead. After a 90-minute weather delay, Jamaica fought back into the contest but were unable to equalize before half.
After a few changes by U.S. head coach Gregg Berhalter in the locker room, Pulisic's strike in the 52nd minute put the U.S. ahead for good. While Jamaica battled back with a Shamar Nicholson goal in the 69th minute, Pulisic tapped home a rebound to send the USMNT to the finals against Mexico.
