There’s the revenge — you definitely want to watch for that. The Union are ready to avenge last year’s US Open Cup final loss to Houston Dynamo on Sunday, and they are ready to do it emphatically.
But there are many other reasons the check out this showdown between the team on top of the east and one fighting for its playoff life in the west.
Military Appreciation Night
Whether it’s the pregame flyover or the limited-edition warm-up tops, the Yellow Ribbon care package drive or the parachute team ball delivery, the Union are excited to honor the men and women that serve in the military on this special August night. After a special midweek event in which different military branches go head-to-head in small-sided soccer, Philly will be pumped to highlight the work of their military supporters, including Quillan Donnelly, who got to meet his favorite player before he was deployed in late July.
Dollar dogs
For the second time in 2019, the Union are offering $1 hot dogs. Get to the stadium early and dig into some delicious discounted dogs as Philly and Houston do battle.
Faith and Family celebration
Ray Gaddis and Warren Creavalle will speak to fans in a special post-game event. The players will take questions and open up about how their faith has guided their lives and helped make them better on and off the pitch.
Make sure you don’t miss a moment as the Union look to start a new win streak against an old enemy on Sunday, August 11 at 6:00 p.m. ET at Talen Energy Stadium on PHL17.
