CHESTER, Pa. (September 2, 2020) – Philadelphia Union II returned USL Championship action at Subaru Park on Wednesday night falling to ATL UTD 2 by a 2-1 margin. Future Philadelphia Union homegrown Paxten Aaronson scored his first USL Championship goal in the match with a strike in second-half stoppage time. Union II begins a three-game road stretch beginning Sunday, September 6th at Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium, (7:30 p.m. ET /ESPN+).

- Union Academy defender Brandan Craig sported the captain’s armband against ATL UTD, becoming the youngest player in club history to do so
- Two members of the Philadelphia Union made their first USL Championship starts tonight for Union II with both Jack Jasinski and Sean Bettenhausen getting the nod.
- Future Union homegrown Paxten Aaronson scored his first USL Championship goal of his career. Aaronson’s goal came in just his fifth match with the club.
