Reading United recently announced the All Alumni Best XI, with fans voting among 28 different players. Of the 11 selected, Keegan Rosenberry, Ray Gaddis and CJ Sapong represent the Union on the team.
Rosenberry played for the team during the 2013 and 2015 seasons, serving as the team's captain for 2015. After graduating from the team, Rosenberry was selected by the Union 3rd overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft and went on to play every minute of every game for Philadelphia. He was named to the MLS All-Star team, finished second in Rookie of the Year voting and earned a call-up to the US Men's National team's January camp.
Gaddis suited up for Reading during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, and became the first ever United player to play in a game for the Union. After the 2011 season, he joined the Union and has appeared in 114 Union games, the most for a Reading alumnus.
Sapong also was a member of the 2010 Reading United team, earning All-Eastern Conference honors for his four goals in just 11 appearances. He was selected 10th overall by Sporting Kansas City in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft and won Rookie of the Year. Sapong joined the Union in 2015, and his 16 goals in 36 games for the Union leads all United alumni.
