In advance of the US Men's National Team's World Cup qualifier against Honduras, US Soccer took a look at two defining moments between the two countries.
In 2001, the USMNT faced off against Honduras both home and away as a part of the Hexagonal. In the first match in March in Honduras, Earnie Stewart scored the first goal in the USMNT's 2-1 victory. Later on in September, the USMNT welcomed Honduras to RFK Stadium, where Stewart scored both of the the US's goals, but the team ultimately fell 3-2.
