ASN TV Clearances

The American Sports Network has announced the TV clearances for the Army-Navy Cup V men's soccer match on Friday, Sept. 23. The game will be played at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. at 7:00 PM. Talen Energy Stadium is home of the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.


The Army-Navy Cup V will be produced by ASN and will be available on 68 local stations in 25 states, Washington, D.C. and nationwide on Direct TV (NESN) and Dish Network (NESN). The game will be available in the local Annapolis area on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. The announcers for the contest will be Jason Knapp and Richard Broad.


Both Navy and Army West Point enter the 2016 Star Match at 2-3-1 on the season. This is the Patriot League opener for both schools.

Army-Navy Cup III brought 10,168 fans to the stadium in 2014 and there were 9,316 fans in attendance at Army-Navy Cup IV in 2015. The 2014 and 2015 crowds were each ranked as the third-largest crowds in NCAA Division I men's soccer for each respective season.


Live video of the match will also be streamed on the internet for free at PatriotLeague.TV and on navysports.com.


The Army-Navy Cup V will be the second game of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. Navy defeated Army in the women's soccer Star Match last weekend, 1-0.
