Bedoya talks changes, new faces as preseason begins

Ale Bedoya FC Dallas

After the first official day of preseason training, Alejandro Bedoya broke down the big issue everybody wanted to know about: Is it colder in Philly or Norway?
"It's way colder here than Norway!" the Union captain said.
Bedoya then described his first day training with Aurelien Collin ("He's got that bite to him") and what he's seen from Sergio Santos thus far ("I'm pretty sure he's left-footed because I saw him hit some rockets."). The Union put in work in the bubble at Penn Park, and Bedoya emphasized that while he missed good friend Keegan Rosenberry, he had a lot of trust in the roster build happening around him.
"I trust what has gone on here and they're going to bring in players that are going to perform in whatever role they're asked to do," he said. "For me, I know I've always been a versatile player and I can play different roles; I can play in different formations in different positions, I'm not worried about that.
"It's one thing to set the team in a certain way but once you step on the field you jsut have to play football and make sur eyou attack a certain way and defend and not let so many goals in."
On the recently signed Collin, Bedoya added that, "...One of the things that we talked about last year, being more physical with the top strikers in the league. He'll bring that and [Auston Trusty] and [Mark McKenzie] will be able to learn some things from him. He'll be a great presence on and off the field."
The Union continue training in Philadelphia this week before heading out for Clearwater-St. Pete, Florida.
