After leading Philadelphia Union to its first three points of the season, Jesus Bueno and Japhet Sery Larsen have each earned Team of the Matchday honors.
Both were key playmakers in helping the Boys in Blue rally in the second half to knock off CF Montreal by a 2-1 margin on Saturday afternoon. The comeback was jump started by Sery in the 55th minute as he headed home a free kick from Milan Iloski. Not only did it level the scoreboard but the finish was the center back's first goal as a member of the Boys in Blue.
15 minutes later the Union took the lead for good on the road in Canada with a quick build up off a throw in that was finished off by Bueno for his first league goal of 2026.
