Ahead of Philadelphia Union's Eastern Conference clash against New York City FC on Saturday night, Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad on Thursday afternoon.
“He's getting better quickly and pushing to try and make it this weekend to at least maybe help us off the bench. It will be close but he's working hard. It's a grade one quad which every player probably if you did a MRI of has a grade one event of some kind in there whether that is scar tissue or old built up stuff through the years. He's going to work like crazy to get back and hopefully we can get him back as quickly as possible. If it's too short now and too quick for Saturday then the hope is Charlotte and we'll keep pushing."
