Injury-April9

Ahead of the club's Eastern Conference battle battle against the Columbus Crew on Saturday evening, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.

Alejandro Bedoya

“Bedoya is back and fully training, he'll be fine for the weekend which is really good news. Just had a little concern with it being the day before the Charlotte game and he had a cracking noise in the knee and I was worried it a MCL possibly but all the tests came back fine. Just some arthritis in there that I think scared him more than anything but he's found a way to tolerate the little bit of pain he has there but he'll be totally fine and is training great this week.

Sergio Santos

“Sergio is working to try and make it for the game. If he does, more than likely it would be in a reserve role just because we want to be smart with him. He put a lot of work in and a lot of runs in. If you recall in the [Charlotte FC] game, when I had the two subs ready to come in, he made that last run for a ball already out of bounds but it is really minor. It will be close for this weekend but by next week he'll be back from the hamstring."
