Ahead of the club's return to Subaru Park where they'll face Orlando City SC on Saturday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Overall Team Status
“The good thing is that we’re healthy so everyone available other than Andre [Blake], who I’ve already discussed the injury, will be available to start. With Andre even if he had recovered because he was called in for international duty we can’t let him play in the game because of FIFA rules. It will be Joe [Bendik] again but other than that we are healthy which is really good. Just shorthanded with the international callups, the injury to Andre and the red card to Julian [Carranza]. Shorthanded but I really like our depth and this is an opportunity for others to step up in a big way just like it will be for the other 27 teams in MLS playing this weekend.”
