Following a season-high five-goal performance in a victory over FC Cincinnati, three Philadelphia Union players earned league honors for Matchday 25.
Forward Bruno Damiani earned a well-deserved spot on the MLS Team of the Matchday, recording the first hat trick of his professional career with goals in first-half stoppage time, the 49th minute, and the 61st minute.Â
Homegrown brothers Quinn Sullivan and Cavan Sullivan were also featured -- they each registered multiple assists in the match. Quinn recorded two assists and added his first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 43rd minute. Cavan tallied three assists, becoming the youngest player in MLS history to record three assists in a single match. His performance brought his season total to 10 assists, making him the youngest player in league history to reach double-digit assists in a single campaign.
With their performances, Quinn and Cavan became the first pair of brothers in MLS history to each record assists on two separate goals in the same match.
The Boys in Blue conclude a busy stretch of three matches in eight days this weekend when they travel west for their first-ever meeting with San Diego FC. The Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire matchup kicks off at 9:00 p.m. ET on Apple TV.
