Philadelphia Union announced today that Daniel has received an international call-up for Hungary ahead of 2022 World Cup Qualifier matches. The midfielder is part of seven call-ups in September which include Andre Blake, Cory Burke and Alvas Powell (Jamaica), Olivier Mbaizo (Cameroon), Jamiro Monteiro (Cape Verde) and Jose Martinez (Venezuela).

Gazdag will join the Hungarian National Team for their four matches in the group stage of the European qualifiers. Gazdag has earned six caps and was most recently called up in June ahead of Euro 2020. In his six appearances, Gazdag has scored one goal in a World Cup qualifying match against Andorra on March 31, 2021. Hungary will host England on Sept. 2 at 2:45 p.m. ET., travel to Albania on Sept. 5 at 12 p.m. ET and wrap up with a home match against Andorra on Sept. 8 at 2:45 p.m.
