Union midfielder returns to international duty following historic FIFA World Cup appearance

Philadelphia Union announced today that midfielder Danley Jean Jacques has been called up by the Haiti National Team for the upcoming FIFA international window.

Jean Jacques returns to international duty after representing Haiti at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The midfielder has recorded six goals in 33 international appearances and featured in all three of Haiti’s World Cup matches. On June 13 against Scotland, Jean Jacques became the first active Philadelphia Union player to appear and start in a FIFA World Cup match.

The 2026 MLS season has also been a standout campaign for Jean Jacques, who has become a cornerstone of Philadelphia's midfield while helping guide the club through one of the league's best runs of form since the World Cup break.

Jean Jacques and Haiti will compete in Concacaf Nations League play against Trinidad and Tobago on September 24, Costa Rica on September 27, the Dominican Republic on October 1, and Costa Rica on October 4.
