Philadelphia Union Homegrown defender Frankie Westfield earned his first MLS Team of the Matchday honor after recording an assist in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Seattle Sounders FC.
Westfield helped create the match-winning goal in the 31st minute, combining with fellow Homegrown Neil Pierre to set up Milan Iloski, whose chipped finish secured all three points for the Boys in Blue.
The assist was Westfield's team-leading fifth of the season, matching the career high he set across 25 MLS appearances during the 2025 campaign.
Westfield becomes the fifth Union player—and third defender—to earn MLS Team of the Matchday honors this season, joining Olwethu Makhanya (Matchday 8), Cavan Sullivan (Matchday 13), Milan Iloski (Matchday 15), and Kai Wagner (Matchdays 16 and 17).
Philadelphia Union continue their six-game homestand on Saturday, Aug. 1, when they host Atlanta United FC at Subaru Park. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV.
