Philadelphia Union announced today that homegrown defender Neil Pierre has been selected to join the U.S. Under-19 Men's Nationa Team Domestic Identity Training Camps during the September FIFA window.
The defender is part of eight members of the Union to be selected this window with Pierre joining Tai Baribo (Israel), Cavan Sullivan (U.S. U-17), Frankie Westfield (U.S. U-20) and the trio of Eddy Davis III, Sal Olivas and Andrew Rick who were selected for the U.S. U-20 Identity Camp.
The camp is a part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
The U-19's will train concurrently with the U-17s from Sept. 1-8 at McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Ga.
