On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Philadelphia Union honored Dr. King’s legacy with a powerful Day of Service rooted in reflection, unity, and impact. In partnership with Widener University, Delaware County, the CAAT Center, and Making A Change Group, the day began with a peace march and community clean-up around the Union’s campus in Chester.
Inside Subaru Park, front office staff assembled heartfelt pillowcase care packages for children in local hospitals—each filled with pajamas, blankets, toys, and a note of encouragement. These packages will be hand-delivered by Union players throughout the season, spreading comfort and kindness far beyond MLK Day.
