After helping guide Philadelphia Union to its first clean sheet of the season, defender Olwethu Makhanya has earned Team of the Matchday honors.
The South African center back led the team with eight clearances and had five registered recoveries during the match against rivals D.C. United on Saturday night.
Makhanya and the rest of the Union defense were dominant on their side of the pitch, not allowing a single shot on target during the latest chapter of the I-95 rivalry between the Boys in Blue and D.C. United.
