The Philadelphia Union and Primepoint held a children’s educational virtual event on Wednesday afternoon for local children including students from Children and Adult Disability and Educational Services (CADES) – a nonprofit which operates full-time residences, care and educational programs for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in the counties surrounding Philadelphia.<
During the event Phang hosted a read-along and while also helping out with a virtual art show. The event was capped up with a special guest appearance from Philadelphia Union homegrown defender Mark McKenzie who surprised all the kids in attendance.
The purpose of the virtual event was to highlight the partnership among the Union, Primepoint, and CADES. As the official payroll provider of the Philadelphia Union and CADES, Primepoint pledges a donation for every Union player's goal assist to support the CADES community. Because CADES has been facing more challenges due to the pandemic, the funding is needed now more than ever.
