Philadelphia Union announced today they have signed Union II players Kellan LeBlanc and Rafael Uzcategui to short-term agreements ahead of Thursday night's Leagues Cup contest against Santos Laguna.
The duo were named to the club's 2026 Leagues Cup roster which was announced prior ot the start of the tournament in early August.
Per the 2026 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, a club may sign a player, age 25 or younger during the league season, from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days). An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each season, however, that player may appear in no more than two MLS league season matches. An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.
This is the second short-term callup for LeBlanc in 2026, who was on the Union's gameday roster for the club's May 24th match at Inter Miami CF. The call-up is the first for Uzcategui.
