Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has traded goalkeeper Chris Konopka to Toronto FC in exchange for a third round selection in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
“We thank Chris for his contributions to our club over the past two years,” Team Manager John Hackworth said. “We wish him the best of luck as he continues his career in Toronto.”
Konopka joins Toronto FC after spending the previous two years on the Union’s roster. His only MLS minutes for the club came in 2012 when he started May 26 in a 1-0 loss to Toronto FC at BMO Field, recording six saves.
